Training starts at 9 am at our location, 282 NE 60th Street Miami FL 33137 and it will conclude at approximately 3 pm at the indoor range in Miami Lakes, FL (20 minutes from the store).

This Training is so much from than the required training for a State of Florida Conceal Cary Weapon Permit.

This training is designed for those who want to learn how to safely handle a pistol.

This is a modified NRA basic pistol course. It is modified because we have removed the Olympic marksmanship and the political aspect of the training to focus only on safety, weapons handling, and self-defense.

In this course you will learn:

Fundamental of Pistol Safety
1. Four cardinal Safety Rules of firearms
Weapons handling procedures
1. Loading
2. Unloading
3. Making the firearm “safe”
Sight Alignment and Sight Picture
1. Ensure you hit the intended target
Triger Control
State of Florida regulations
1. Where are you allowed to carry a concealed weapon
2. Where you are NOT allowed to carry a concealed weapon
3. King of the Castle doctrine
4. Stand your Ground doctrine

Pre-Requisites:

No fellowly convictions
No convictions of domestic violence
No convictions of misdemeanor involving violence
21 years old or older
For those under 21 years of age – parent or legal guardian MUST be present
Positive attitude!

You will be provided with:

Pistol in 9mm (you may bring your own if you have one)
50 Rounds of 9mm (the law requires less than 5)
Eye protection
Ear protection
Range
Targets
Certificate of training

This course is designed for:

Those who want to protect themselves and their loved ones
Those who want to find a new hobby in the firearm world
Those who are AFRAID of firearms

Gunnery Sargent Monteiro, our chief instructor, enjoys teaching firearm safety to everyone, but especially those who are afraid of firearms. The objective is to demystify the firearm, teach you how the firearm works so that you may shift this "fear" to respect and understanding of the tool.

To use an analogy, this course will not make you an Olympic swimmer, but should you fall into a pool this course will teach you how to float and survive in the water. After this course you can join our self-defense program where you may become an export with a firearm or to keep the analogy going, you may become an Olympic swimmer.

We run this course once per month, every month, on the last Saturday of the month (except holiday or scheduling conflicts). Email us for the next available date.
