The SPRIII carries forward the heritage of the legendary MK12 while refining it with modern upgrades for today’s precision shooter. Designed for long-range accuracy, this rifle combines legacy features with cutting-edge enhancements.
At its core, the SPRIII retains the 18" stainless MK12-profile barrel and rifle-length gas system that made the MK12 renowned for its accuracy and soft recoil. Building on that foundation, Daniel Defense has introduced a new 15" RIS III rail with an integrated ARCALOCK section for extended bipod and accessory mounting. A Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) trigger ensures match-grade consistency, while the new Magpul PRS Lite stock provides stability and adjustability. The new fully ambidextrous lower rounds out the upgrades, making the SPRIII the evolution of precision.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
- Receivers: Mil-Spec (7075-T6 Aluminum, Type III Hard Coat Anodized). The upper and lower receivers are strong, durable, and reliable, built to the standard that our customers expect.
- Barrel: Proprietary Blend of Stainless Steel, Cold Hammer Forged, 1:7 Twist, 18" MK12 Profile, DLC Finished, and HP/MPI Tested. The barrel's heavy profile stabilizes rounds at longer ranges.
- Gas System: MK12 Low Profile Gas Block CNC Machined of hardened 416 Stainless Steel with Black Oxide Coating, Rifle-Length, Direct Impingement. Built to cycle smoothly, shot after shot.
- Handguard: RIS III 15.0 w/Modular ARCALOCK Bottom Rail (6061-T6 Aluminum, Type III Hard Coat Anodized). Rock-solid platform for bipods, tripods, bags, and more, with the integrated ARCALOCK.
- Bolt Carrier Group: M16 Profile, Mil-Spec MP Tested, Chrome Lined, Properly Staked Gas Key. Built to take the hits and keep running.
- Trigger: Geissele Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) Trigger.
- Stock: Magpul PRS LITE Stock. Adjust for a perfect fit, every time. Maximize stability and control.
- Controls: Fully Ambi Controls. Ambidextrous safety selector, charging handle, magazine release, and bolt release provide intuitive control from any position.
