Level 5 – Cleaning
handgun - most pistols
How often should I clean my gun? What is the best way to clean my gun?
The short answer: “follow the recommendations and guidance found in your owner’s manual” (and by the way, most owner’s manuals can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website). I usually also add in something like “take care of your gun so your gun will be able to take care of you.”
Level 5 – Deep Professional Cleaning: A deep, or professional cleaning requires the gun to be completely disassembled. This level of cleaning is not common and should be left to those with the proper training.
- Completely take your gun apart to individual parts
- Clean and inspect each part seperately
- At this point we MAY find rust, fractures, or other problems
- Lubricate each part
- Reassemble the firearm
- Function check
It is important to note that cost for this service may increase based on the need of your firearm.
This is a very popular cleaning package.
